Who we are

MealyDO (“we”, “us”) provides a personalized meal-planning service at mealydo.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us any time at contact@mealydo.com.

What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address and authentication identifiers (including Google or Apple sign-in).
• Meal preferences — household size, diets, allergies, cooking experience, budget, liked and disliked foods.
• Service content — the meal plans, shopping lists and saved recipes you create.
• Billing data — subscription status and billing details held by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics about how the app is used.

Why we use it

To create your account, generate personalised meal plans, run your subscription, send service emails (confirmation, password reset, plan ready) and improve the product. Our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, your consent (marketing email and optional analytics) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Blog newsletter

When you create a MealyDO account we add your email address to our blog newsletter, which sends occasional articles and meal-planning tips. This is disclosed at sign-up and relies on your consent (or, where applicable, our legitimate interest in emailing existing customers about related content). Every newsletter email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your account or service emails. You can also ask us to remove you at contact@mealydo.com.

Who we share it with

Processors acting on our instructions only: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Brevo (transactional email), Google Analytics (usage statistics) and our meal-generation model provider, which receives your meal preferences — never your name, email or payment data — in order to generate a plan. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. Delete your account from Profile → Danger zone and we erase your profile, plans, shopping list and saved meals. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, correct, export, restrict or erase your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. Use Profile → Export my data and Delete account, or email us. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, plus analytics cookies to count visits. No advertising cookies are used.
